So This Is Christmas by Jenny Holiday is a holiday romance book that reminds me very much of your cookie cutter Hallmark Christmas movie…. only with very grumpy characters that you cannot believe will fall in love by the end.

Cara is an American flown over to Eldovia to help the King get his affairs in order. Matteo is appointed by the crown to assist her. Both are are very curmudgeonly. Of course the fact that the setting is during the charming Eldovia’s Christmas holiday means all bets are off and these two are destined to fall in love….right? My favorite character in the book was Eldovia itself. Full of charm and warm with the Christmas holiday.

I will be honest, I did not read the first two books in this series, but I was assured they were all stand alone novels anyway. I did not hate this book, the two main characters were just very hard to feel a connection to. That being said, I would recommend this book to anyone who enjoys holiday romances and all things Hallmark Movie network. It would be a perfect read to curl up in from of a warm fire with during the holidays.
