Crimson Silhouettes (CS) is my first book I have read from this amazing author Miguel Angel Hernandez Jr. and WOW! I absolutely loved it. I have only been reading Urban fantasy for about a year or so, but try to read as much as I can get my hands on. I was given the opportunity to read CS as an advanced copy from Goodreads and the author/publisher. My reviews are always completely honest. I was slightly worried about starting this series by reading the third book, but the author assured me it could be read without reading the first two. He was right and now I cannot wait to go back and read the first two.

I really enjoyed the authors writing style. It was very fast paced and the story came together quickly and kept me on the edge of my seat wanting more. I loved the FMC. Skye Noir is an imperfect, impulsive, kick ass detective. Skye is new to San Juan and immediately put onto a murder case that quickly reveals itself to be supernatural in nature. I do not want to give too much away (I hate spoilers) bu if you love werewolves and cult activity…. you are in for a treat.

I found myself really connecting with the characters and staying up late for “1 more chapter”. I recommend this book for fans of authors like Dannika Dark and Shannon Mayer. Miguel Angel Hernandez Jr. will drag you into the darkness and keep you begging for more.
